Marc Berthoumieux uses today on stage and in studio on two accordions CASTAGNARI 5 rows, 3 voices and 96 basses, "MAGICA 3", One is equipped with a MIDI MUSICTECH interface and the other with a MIDI interface DAURELLE.
In studio he also recorded with a Castagnari "MAGICA K3" which is a 60 bass with 5 rows in the right hand specially designed on request. It has now become a model available in the catalog.

Collaboration with Beltuna since 2014
Even though Castagnari has been Marc Berthoumieux's traveling companion for more than 10 years, the Italian brand BELTUNA has focused its attention on the quality of sound and the manufacture of its instruments. It is a brand of high-end accordion and also a family with passion.
It offers in its range, some models are very close to the French tradition, instruments with a "Cassotto" sound of very high quality and the system "Amplisound". An exclusive patent BELTUNA which allows to change acoustically the timbre of the sound. A single instrument thus offers many more combinations of registers. With this system, we have two instruments in one! BELTUNA has its own factory and has the capacity to offer a very wide range and very important possibilities of options, which makes it possible to obtain the ideal instrument.
The model chosen is a LEADER 2050 This model is a 5 rows, 4 voices, on right hand, double Cassotto box "Amplisound", 96 basses and 7 registers on left hand.

Guy Daurelle is the inventor of the famous MIDI Odyssée systems for accordion. With more than twenty years of experience, the Odyssée saga is in its 4th generation and is now marketed under the DAURELLE brand.

Marc Berthoumieux's accordions have been equipped with midi systems for many years.
At first, the midi of the accordion was used with external expanders (some of them heavy and bulky). The midi system is today connected to a computer which emulates virtual instruments for use both on stage and in the studio.
