Marc Berthoumieux et Hervé Morisot sont complices de longue date. Ils se sont rencontrés en accompagnant la chanteuse Do Montebello. L’accordéoniste est invité sur le nouvel album de Novu Ponte et pour ce concert célébrant sa sortie.

Mélodique et tendre, toujours chantante, la musique de Novu Ponte navigue sur des compositions, et des standards allant de Duke Ellington à Bizet….

It’s time to celebrate 30 years of camaraderie and friendship with one of the best drummers of our generation, and 40 years of a remarkable musical career.

 

Stéphane Huchard is re-releasing his first six albums on digital platforms via the label Sous la Ville. It brings me great joy to have contributed to the gathering of these six works, which were scattered across various labels, some of which no longer exist. His latest album, Off Off Broadway, is still widely available through Jazz Eleven, a label founded by another dear friend, Giovanni Mirabassi. Now, Tribal Traquenard, Toutakoosticks, Bouchabouches, African Tribute to Art Blakey, Panamerican, and Tranches de Tronches (from 1999 to 2015) are available for streaming and download on your favorite platforms.

 

Enjoy them without moderation, and let’s welcome these six albums, witnesses to a journey that deserves to be rediscovered for the enjoyment of jazz enthusiasts. To celebrate this occasion, join Stéphane Huchard with an exceptional cast for two release concerts at SUNSIDE - Paris, on September 27 and 28, 2024.
